Erin Macias

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA #131146)

I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and change.

Chances are you’re here because the way you’ve been doing things isn’t working anymore. Maybe you’ve lost a relationship, are finding work more difficult than it used to be, or simply feel like life is out of control.

If you want to feel better, you know you can’t not take a look at what’s going on.

I’m here to offer you a space of empathy, non-judgment, and connection. Therapy isn’t about either of us having all of the answers, but instead tackling what you’re facing together. I’ll be with you every step of the way, encouraging you to take a different perspective on yourself and your circumstances and helping you see your own innate strength and resilience.

I don’t want you to continue feeling ruled by your past or struggling in your relationships. I’ll meet you where you’re at, support you in accepting all the parts of yourself, and help you begin to see your story differently.

Let’s open up the possibilities for what your future can look like, and then work together to make that a reality.

  • As your therapist, my primary goal is to form a genuine connection so that you and I can broach these ideas and (often difficult) topics together. I’m here to unpack where you’ve been and where you are now, so we can figure out where you want to go.

I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Washington and a master's degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy from the University of San Francisco.

I have wide-ranging experience, having supported children, families, teens, and adults in various kinds of settings. My training in EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy allows me to help you not only build a foundation of tools & strategies, but also to target and process the deeper roots of what you’re experiencing.

My approach is trauma-informed, culturally competent, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA-affirming.
